The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) invites locals and international visitors alike to experience the Thailand Vegetarian Festival 2025, taking place from October 20 to 29. This annual event is one of the country’s most revered cultural celebrations, deeply rooted in Chinese-Thai traditions and centered on spiritual cleansing, merit-making, and blessings for health, prosperity, and longevity.

During this nine- to ten-day festival, participants abstain from meat and animal products as a way to purify the body and mind. Visitors can witness awe-inspiring street processions of Chinese deities, spiritual rituals performed in devotion, and an extraordinary variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes prepared by local communities.
Celebrations take place throughout Thailand, especially in cities with strong Thai-Chinese heritage. Each destination offers its own distinctive customs and atmosphere, yet all share a common theme: purity, mindfulness, and renewal.
