Thailand’s largest literary event is back. The 54th National Book Fair and the 24th Bangkok International Book Fair 2026 will run from today through April 6 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, celebrating the lasting impact of books under the theme “Read The Legend.”
Organized by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand, this year’s fair highlights classic works and influential voices while presenting them in ways that connect with modern readers. The idea is simple: legendary stories aren’t stuck in the past; they still inspire new generations today.

A Massive Literary Event
Spanning over 30,000 sq m across Halls 5–8, the fair features:
- 1,028 booths
- 362 publishers
- More than 10 million books at discounted prices
Open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, it serves as both a major book marketplace and a central hub for Thailand’s reading community.

Strong International Presence
The event brings together 80 international companies from 24 countries alongside Thai authors and publishers, reinforcing Bangkok’s role as a regional publishing hub.
A key industry highlight is The Bangkok Rights Fair 2026, where global publishers and writers meet for business matching, rights trading, and networking. Hundreds of deals are expected, helping push Thai content onto the international stage.
Zones, Trends, and Activities
The fair is divided into eight themed zones, covering everything from fiction and children’s books to international titles and comics. A new Boy’s Love/Girl’s Love section reflects evolving reading trends in Thailand.
Visitors can also enjoy:
- Over 100 exhibitions and cultural showcases
- Author meet-and-greet sessions
- Panel discussions and creative workshops
- Traditional puppet performances and family-friendly activities
Special exhibitions explore Thai culture, literature, and history, including displays tied to royal teachings and classic Buddhist texts.
More Than Just Books
Beyond browsing and buying, the event promotes reading through digital campaigns, competitions, and social media engagement. With influencers and readers taking part, the fair aims to make books more visible in everyday life.
