Happening 101 Art Festival Returns

Get ready as the Happening 101 Art Festival makes its much-anticipated return for a weeklong celebration of creativity, running from Wednesday through June 3 at Seacon Square Hall, located on Srinakarin Road. The event is open daily from 10:30 to 20:00.
Following last year’s success, which brought together 101 artists in one massive showcase, this year’s edition introduces the “Class of 2025” — a fresh lineup of both Thai and international talents in illustration, branding, character design, and publishing.
The festival transforms the venue into a dynamic art hub, divided into zones to highlight different forms of artistic expression. At the Music Zone, visitors can enjoy intimate live sets by top acts including Scrubb, Portrait x Sleeper 1, Whal and Dolph, Loserpop, Mute, La Ong Fong, Quicksand Bed, Funky Wah Wah, and Chala Deen.
Meanwhile, the Market Zone will be a haven for art lovers and collectors, featuring exclusive items from more than 60 creatives, such as Bringhome Thebacon, Twofeetcat, Praefueng, Yhenjai, IstelaIllustrated, Lamunlamai, Pianissimo Press, Peeti Studio, Wax Valley, Abearable, Ngoentra, Avocado Books, Fullstop, Barefoot Banana, and P.S. Publishing.
The Exhibition Zone will spotlight works from the Bangkok Illustration Fair, MMAD, and “My First Art,” offering pieces from 40 emerging artists. It’s an ideal opportunity for first-time collectors to discover and purchase original art at affordable prices.
Over at the Talk Zone, audiences can sit in on thought-provoking discussions and behind-the-scenes sessions led by creatives across various disciplines. Programs like Kayeepun by Art of Hongtae, Yeedin, Golf Was Here, Spacebar Zine, and Katanyu Tonight will be featured. Beloved mascots such as Bar B GON and Plaplatootoo will also make special appearances.
Festival-goers can roll up their sleeves at hands-on art workshops led by Mirren.crab, Mami Papercraft, and Tiny Timber, or enjoy free gameplay in the board-game corner, hosted by Bgn Squad.
The Random Room promises delightful surprises: from custom portraits and tarot readings to quirky conversations and artistic storytelling, visitors can expect the unexpected.
Don’t miss the art-themed café experience either, with treats and refreshments from Guss Damn Good, Gimbocha, and Lukyang.
Entry is priced at THB 101 (free on opening day) and includes access to all festival activities, along with chances to win exclusive prizes. Plus, the first 200 attendees each day will receive a mystery gift from participating artists and creators.
