A different way to celebrate Songkran

While many visitors associate Songkran with water fights and street celebrations, the Chiang Rai campaign focuses on the festival’s spiritual side. By visiting temples, making merit, and reflecting at sacred sites, travelers can start the Thai New Year with blessings for health, love, work, and prosperity.

The initiative also encourages visitors to explore more of Chiang Rai beyond its most famous attractions while experiencing the region’s cultural and religious traditions during Songkran.
