Taling Chan Floating Market
Taling Chan Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำตลิ่งชัน) is on Khlong Chak Phra, in front of the Taling Chan District Office, in Khlong Chak Phra subdistrict, Taling Chan, Bangkok 10170. TAT Japan and DASTA, the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration, both place it there. Vendors sell what the gardens along the canal grow, and DASTA says plants, vegetables, fruit, fish, and food depend on the season. Boats, not only fixed stalls, carry the goods. TAT Japan adds a longtail ride on the canal, and a boat from the market to Wat Ko, which it says is more than 300 years old, to pay respect to the image of Luang Pho Dam.
The clock is not the same on every government page. DASTA says Saturday and Sunday, or a public holiday that falls on Friday or Monday, from 07:00 to 17:00. TAT Japan says 07:00–17:00 on Saturday, Sunday, and on a Monday or Friday that is a holiday. The Government Public Relations Department page, updated 11 July 2023, says Saturday and Sunday from 08:00 to 17:00 and does not mention those holiday weekdays. None of the three pages prints an entry fee, so the ticket field is blank. The PRD page describes boat trips, including one hour-long route at 60 baht a seat from noon until 15:00. DASTA describes longtail trips, visits to nearby floating markets, an orchid tour, and a Thonburi snake-farm show, and it does not print those fares, so the 60 baht figure is only what the 2023 PRD page said.
Both TAT Japan and DASTA give the district office as 02-424-1742 and 02-424-5448. DASTA also names Khun Noppadol, chair of the market community, at 081-374-7616.
