The vibrant coastal town of Khanom is set to come alive once again with the 9th Khanom Festival, themed “Light Up the Beach.” Held at Na Dan Beach, this two-day celebration combines music, food, and dazzling light installations, drawing visitors from across Thailand and beyond.

A Modern Festival with Local Roots

The Khanom Festival began nearly a decade ago as a community initiative aimed at showcasing the natural beauty of Khanom’s beaches and promoting its local fishing and farming heritage. Over the years, it has grown into one of Southern Thailand’s most anticipated cultural events, blending traditional southern Thai hospitality with contemporary entertainment. While the festival celebrates modern music and art, it also reflects the district’s long history as a quiet fishing hub and gateway to Nakhon Si Thammarat’s cultural heartland.

2025 Festival Highlights

This year’s edition promises free beachside concerts featuring some of Thailand’s top performers, including ETC BAND, URBOY TJ, and DJ BOTCASH. The shoreline will be transformed into a visual wonderland, complete with an illuminated Giant Lighting Tower and spectacular light displays designed for Instagram-ready photo opportunities, while food lovers can indulge in over 70 food stalls offering regional delicacies from across Thailand.

Why Khanom?

Nestled on the Gulf of Thailand, Khanom is famed for its pristine beaches, pink dolphin sightings, and laid-back coastal charm. Unlike its more crowded neighbors, the area remains a hidden gem, making the festival a perfect opportunity to experience authentic southern Thai culture.
