Bangkok Hosts Giant “Squid Game” Dolls for Final Season Launch Event

Bangkok has once again become the stage for a global pop culture phenomenon, as two towering “Squid Game” characters—Younghee (known locally as Go Go Wa) and her new partner Cheolsu—have landed in the city to mark the highly anticipated release of Squid Game Season 3, the series’ final chapter.

Standing at an astonishing 12 meters tall, the massive dolls are part of a large-scale public installation at Lan Khon Mueang, where fans are invited to take part in a skipping-rope challenge, inspired by the series. The event kicks off on June 27, 2025, just a day after the global Netflix premiere , and runs through July 6, 2025.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Netflix, is behind this unique initiative, continuing the city’s streak of hosting impressive outdoor art experiences. Just last month, art lovers were treated to a towering KAWS installation near Sanam Luang; now it’s “Squid Game” fans’ turn to engage with art-meets-entertainment on an epic scale.

Younghee previously made a splash in Bangkok during the first season’s launch, memorably arriving by boat on the Chao Phraya River. This time, however, she’s joined by Cheolsu for a more dramatic and interactive return. Together, they form the world’s largest “Squid Game” display, offering fans the chance to step into the suspense of the show—without the deadly stakes.

The experience is free and open to the public, as part of the BMA’s ongoing efforts to promote accessible cultural events and reinforce Bangkok’s appeal as a dynamic global destination. Located right in front of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration City Hall and near the iconic Giant Swing, the event promises not only thrilling entertainment but also a striking visual spectacle for all ages.
