If you’ve always dreamed of having Indian food that doesn’t leave your mouth on fire, then you’re in for a treat at Tajmahal Restaurant as all the food is made non-spicy, unless customers request otherwise. The vast majority of Tajmahal’s menu is devoted to chicken dishes, followed by fish and seafood, but there is a double page featuring some plant-based options, although you may need to check which dishes contain dairy. There are four tables with wooden bench seats inside and around half a dozen tables out the front with a mixture of seating. Tajmahal Restaurant has an easy, laid-back feel, and if busy highways normally put you off roadside dining, then sleepy Regent Road – little more than a back country lane – makes the ideal location.
