Occupying a corner spot in Shibuya’s Food Hall Blast, Plant-based Tokyo is leading the way in the vegan-restaurant world, using the eco-friendly material Onibegie™ for staff uniforms and the patented Ultra Soy Separation manufacturing method to create a cheese-like soy-milk cream. The eatery’s 100%-vegan menu showcases various soy-meat creations, including curry (JPY 1,300), Gapao Rice (JPY 1,200), Round Pot Meat Rice (JPY 1,100), Teppanyaki Bibimbap (JPY 1,100), Sea Urchin Cream Pasta (JPY 1,200), Power Salad (JPY 1,100) and a lasagna (JPY 660). There are also three- and four-plate sets for JPY 1,260 and JPY 1,480 respectively, and a konjac-and-rice set for JPY 330. As well as the main indoor dining space, Food Hall Blast has a number of outdoor tables too for some roadside people-watching in Tokyo’s upscale financial and commercial centre.
