The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร) is a public contemporary-art centre at 939 Rama 1 Road, Wang Mai Subdistrict, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok 10330. It is at Pathumwan intersection, facing MBK Center and Siam Discovery. Entry to exhibitions is free except for special events, and charges for concerts and plays vary. The telephone is 02-2146630.

The English visit page says the galleries are open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00 and closed on Mondays, New Year, and Songkran. The Thai contact page gives exhibition and activity hours as Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 to 20:00, closed Monday, and office hours as Tuesday to Saturday 09:30 to 18:30, closed Sunday and Monday, on 02 214 6630–8. The two pages agree on the Tuesday to Sunday gallery hours, but only the English page names New Year and Songkran as closed days.

Floors 7 to 9 are the main galleries, floor 6 is offices, and floor 5 holds the auditorium, information counter, meeting room, and shop. Floor 4 has studios, meeting rooms, and artHUB shops, and floor 3 has the BTS entrance, a gallery, and shops. Floor 2 has the People’s Gallery rooms P1 to P3, floor 1 has the main entrance, a multi-function room, and open space, floor L is the art library, and B1 to B2 are parking.

The art library is free and holds contemporary-art books, magazines, Thai exhibition catalogues, a co-working space, and a children’s corner. On floors 7 to 9, non-commercial photography is allowed unless prohibited, while flash, tripods, selfie sticks, and video are banned unless allowed. Do not touch the works or bring food or drink, and leave bags larger than 40 x 30 x 20 cm, backpacks, and umbrellas in the 5th-floor lockers.

BTS National Stadium connects to the building. Buses listed are 15, 16, 21, 25, 29, 34, 36, 40, 47, 48, 50, 54, 73, 73ก, 79, 93, 141, 159, 204, and air-conditioned 508. The Saen Saep boat stops at Saphan Hua Chang, about 300 m away, and the only car entrance is from Phayathai Road.

Parking is free for the first 15 minutes, then 20 baht an hour for the first two hours, 30 baht for the third and fourth hours, and 40 baht from the fifth hour. Exhibition visitors can get a two-hour free stamp at the 5th-floor information counter.
