Set among the trees off a quiet country lane and bordering a near-deserted area of beach, Regent Chalet offers a peaceful, laid-back stay. The accommodation area is split into the Cottage Zone, featuring detached wooden bungalows, and the Rimsone Zone, offering standard one-, two- or three-bedroom suites. The bungalows include hot-water showers, a fridge, a flat-screen TV, WiFi and a terrace with wooden chairs. The resort’s amenities include a pool, children’s area, book corner, massage area and pétanque. A handful of restaurants are a few minutes’ walk down the road, or there is the café bOnnie (selling tea, coffee, cakes and smoothies) a few yards along the beach. Regent Chalet’s in-room dining menu currently has two vegan options (pad thai and sukiyaki with tofu), while for vegetarians, there are several rice and noodle dishes with fish or seafood.
