Siam Paragon is marking two significant milestones with a vibrant cultural celebration titled The Nation’s Tribute to The King, taking place at Parc Paragon from Friday, July 25 through Monday, July 28, 2025. The event honors His Majesty the King’s 73rd birthday and commemorates 50 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China.

This festive showcase will spotlight an array of traditional performances from both nations, creating a colorful fusion of heritage and artistry. At the heart of the event is the legendary Shaolin kung fu, an iconic martial art with roots tracing back over 1,500 years to China’s Songshan Mountains in Henan province. The performance combines dynamic physical techniques with meditative and Zen philosophies.

Audiences can also enjoy bian lian, or the mask-changing act of Sichuan opera, performed by the Chinese Opera Association, along with a Thai children’s khon performance depicting the Ramayana, and a graceful Macha Leela dance, inspired by aquatic themes and classical Thai movement.

Other cultural highlights include a candle dance by students of Srinakharinwirot University Demonstration School (Prasarnmit); a cross-cultural music session featuring the Chinese guzheng alongside the Thai dulcimer and fiddle; and performances by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Mahidol University’s College of Music.

On opening day, all acts will be staged from 16:00, with a daily repeated program at 13:00 and 16:00. The Shaolin kung fu show has been scheduled exclusively for 18:00.

Admission is free. More details are available at facebook.com/siamparagonshopping.
