Bangkok Named One of Asia’s Most Booked Cities in 2025

Bangkok has once again proven its status as a must-visit destination, earning the number-two spot on Agoda’s list of the most booked Asian cities for the first half of 2025. The ranking, based on booking data from January to June, places the Thai capital just behind Tokyo, with Osaka, Seoul, and Kuala Lumpur rounding out the top five.
Known for its vibrant street life, world-class cuisine, and rich cultural heritage, Bangkok continues to draw travelers from across the globe. From the bustling markets of Chatuchak to the shimmering spires of the Grand Palace, the city offers a mix of old-world charm and modern excitement. Its thriving nightlife, endless shopping options, and award-winning restaurants make it a destination that appeals to every type of traveler.
Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President of Supply at Agoda, referenced Bangkok’s ability to offer “culinary adventures” as one of its timeless appeals “that keeps visitors coming back.”
The recognition reflects Bangkok’s versatility as a travel hub — whether visitors are seeking historical landmarks, luxury stays, budget-friendly street eats, or river cruises along the Chao Phraya, the city delivers it all.
