Blue by Alain Ducasse is a French restaurant on the first floor of ICONLUXE at ICONSIAM, unit L101, 299 Charoen Nakhon Road, with the Chao Phraya outside the glass. The restaurant’s own site calls it a one-Michelin-star dining room. The MICHELIN Guide lists the same address for French contemporary cooking and files it under date night. The Guide page checked for this piece did not print a star, so the star is the restaurant’s claim.

French dining beside the river at ICONSIAM
The interior is by Jouin Manku. Guests come in through a space the site calls the Cafe, then the main dining room, where the site credits Chef Hocquet. The same site, and the Guide, name Evens López as executive chef. The Guide describes him as Peruvian, cooking French food with a lighter hand, Southeast Asian ingredients, and a Mediterranean streak.
What the Guide names
One dish is a heritage-tomato starter, Thai and French tomatoes turned into jellies and consommés and finished with almonds. Another is a rack of Mount Schank lamb with fig leaf. For a quieter table there is a bronze private room for six, on a round wooden table facing the river, and a pink room inside mirrored walls for eight to ten.
