Considering a short vacation in Pattaya with the kids (say, 1 or 2 wks) prior to a possible relocation in Bangkok in the fall. Have heard mixed reports about the place. Opinions appreciated.

Yeah, Pattaya can be suitable for kids. As you’ve probably heard, there’s a lot of nightlife there, but there’s also plenty of areas where you can avoid it.

I have taken my children there many times, and they always had a lot of fun. There are many activities for children, like Art in Paradise and at least two water parks that I can remember.

Yeah, I’ve holidayed there with my 2 nephews. Some of the bigger hotels are pretty much self-contained, with water parks, onsite shop etc, so you hardly even need to go into the city.
