I wanna move away from where Im living now and closer to the city center. Someone recommended Lumphini area for cheap apartments to rent. But isn't Lumphini an expensive area??

I think I know where they mean. You've gotta head out from Silom along the bottom edge of Lumphini Park and you'll come to a bunch of sois near the shops. Try there for cheap apartments.

I can confirm that. One of the first places I rented was in that area (Soi Si Bamphen, if I'm not mistaken). You can pick up some good deals around there. You've gotta get off the main Rama IV road and take a wander along the backstreets.
