Yes, you expect to earn between 30k and 40k on average, depending on a number of factors, such as whether the school is private, government, international etc, the province you're in and whether you do any overtime.

A lot of the private schools (what I call the shopping mall schools) pay you for what you teach. I've had people at my school taking home just 12k a month, and one guy earning 70k or more. It often depends on what work's available and how much you wanna take on.

And another factor affecting your pay is how popular with the students you are. Students are often at liberty to request their preferred teacher, so if you're performing well, that will reflect in your pay.
