Thailand Launches Online Arrival-Card System

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that, starting May 1, 2025, all foreign travelers visiting Thailand must complete an online arrival card before entering the country.
Travelers will be required to submit their information through the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) website, developed by the Immigration Bureau, according to ministry spokesman Nikorndej Balankura. A mobile application for Android and iOS users will also be introduced soon.
Certain groups are exempt from this requirement, including consular and diplomatic personnel, members of international organizations, their dependents and staff, and foreign officials on official assignments, as well as all Thai nationals.
The TDAC will be replacing the TM6 paper-based arrival card, which was suspended last year. It will apply to all foreign travelers arriving by air, sea, or land.
Mr. Nikorndej emphasized that the information collected will help authorities provide appropriate care and support to travelers during their stay.
Travelers can submit their TDAC forms up to three days before arrival, and will be asked to provide details such as:
- Passport or travel document information
- Address of accommodation in Thailand
- Selected health information
Travelers who have visited cities or ports considered high-risk for infectious diseases within 14 days prior to arrival may be asked to provide additional health information.
The TDAC system also allows travelers to edit their applications before final submission, and group submissions are supported.
Mr. Nikorndej clarified that the TDAC is not a visa, but a digital entry form designed to streamline travel to Thailand.
For those planning to arrive on or after May 1, the TDAC system will be accessible beginning April 28, 2025.
