Bangkok’s popular riverside destination Asiatique The Riverfront has added a major new attraction with the opening of Thainosaur Museum, an immersive edutainment venue dedicated to Thailand’s prehistoric past. The museum further strengthens Asiatique’s growing lineup of large-scale attractions, following the launches of SkyFlyers: Wings of Garudapterus and Jurassic World: The Experience Bangkok.

Positioned as a “living museum,” Thainosaur Museum explores Thailand’s role as an ancient dinosaur habitat through science-based storytelling and highly detailed visual displays. The project was developed in collaboration with the Department of Mineral Resources and Mahasarakham University, building on earlier concepts such as Fossil Park and Hatch Dome to form an integrated urban learning ecosystem.
Inside the museum, visitors are greeted by an impressive collection of life-sized replicas of Thai dinosaur species and prehistoric animals. Each model is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, from realistic skin textures and fur to accurate coloration, creating an immersive and visually striking experience.

The museum uses spatial storytelling and curated visitor journeys to guide guests through Thailand’s prehistoric timeline. Authentic fossil specimens are paired with engaging narratives designed to appeal to both children and adults. Artistic interpretations by Thai artist Thaivijit Phungkasemsomboon further enhance the experience, blending scientific accuracy with creative expression.

The experience extends beyond the museum walls. Visitors can also enjoy SkyFlyers: Wings of Garudapterus, a swing ride inspired by a flying reptile species first discovered in Thailand. The attraction offers panoramic views over the Chao Phraya River and Asiatique’s riverfront, combining education with a sense of adventure.
A standout highlight of Thainosaur Museum is its 30-meter-tall dinosaur, currently the tallest dinosaur display in ASEAN. Towering over the riverfront, it has quickly become a new visual landmark at Asiatique.
Thainosaur Museum is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00. Visitors can take advantage of lower ticket prices on weekdays before 16:00, making it an appealing option for families, students, and travelers looking for a daytime activity in Bangkok.
