If you’re vegan and you like your fast food, alt.Eatery is somewhere you should go at least once in your life. Its arrestingly yellow façade, complete with smiley cartoon veg outside, makes a bold plant-based statement from its Sukhumvit Road location. The colourful theme continues inside, with blue tables and padded yellow bench seats helping to create an informal diner-style feel. A plant-based cake shop, minimart and restaurant in one, alt.Eatery has no fewer than four different seating areas for both indoor and outdoor dining. Although many of the items on the menu are either battered or fried, there are a few healthier dishes to be found among the bounty of multi-coloured snacks and sarnies. A rare treat is the vegan chicken pieces (à la Bonchon and accompanied with one of several different sauces) and the alt. Beef UFO, a plant-based burger in a mouth-wateringly soft moist bun. alt.Eatery is just a few minutes’ walk from Thong Lor BTS Station. For drivers, parking for some 15 to 20 cars is available at the back of the restaurant.
