border crossing from Phnom Penh to Poipet

Heard rumours there's a conflict btwn Thais and Cambodians. Wanted to make sure I can still make the crossing at Poipet??

Well, I think the Poipet border’s still open, but the queues are pretty mad down there.

Yeah, looks like utter chaos down there. People are getting stranded on the wrong side, so flying looks like your best option to be on the safe side.

And one more thing making problems is Thailand and Cambodia have different times for opening and closing some borders. This is increasing the backlog of people waiting to cross the border.

I think in the case of Poipet, the window of opportunity you have to cross has shrunk quite a bit too now. That border’s now open approx. office hours on the Thai side, whereas it was something like 6am to 10 at night before the conflict, so that’s something to bear in mind if you’re bussing it and arrive there at some weird hour.
