Got much to move? I'd say ask around for someone with a van if you've only got a bit of stuff to move out rather than pay a removal company.

I used to be able to get all my stuff (4 or 5 bags) into a taxi during my first few moves in Thailand (tipped the drivers well, mind you), but it would be pushing it now unless I made several trips. So if you haven’t got much to move, taxis are a possibility.

One time I ask for price to moving company, to move to apartment only 7 minutes walking. They say 4000 baht + VAT (no packing service/material included)!

I’ve found that condo security or the front desk is usually pretty helpful. They often know someone with a van who can handle the job for just a few hundred baht.
