I stumbled across a very large som tam restaurant in Siam once. It was in one of those short sois off the main drag. As I recall, it sold nothing but som tam!

I have not eaten in many som tam restaurants, but I found a list here. The article is quite old, though. https://www.timeout.com/bangkok/restaurants/best-somtum-places-in-bangkok

Hey @Jude! (Couldn't resist 😆)

It really depends on what you’re looking for! Bangkok has tons of great som tam spots—some are proper street food gems, while others are more polished restaurants. Also depends on where you live!

If you want that street-side experience, there used to be a solid spot on Sukhumvit Soi 11. They had different vibes for lunch and dinner—lunch was super local, while dinner was pricier and had more of a nightlife/touristy feel. Not 100% sure if it's still there post-COVID, though!

For a place you can find all over Bangkok, check out Phed Phed ( https://www.phedphed.com/ ). It’s actually my friend’s restaurant, and it’s legit Thai-Isaan style—spicy 🔥 and packed with seasonal ingredients like มะยงชิด (Mayongchid) and มังคุด (mangosteen). Thai and foreign foodies love it! They’re also on Lineman if you’re feeling lazy. But if you plan to go, definitely call ahead—the queues can be crazy!
